This notice explains how we handle the personal data of people who visit https://www.gebgarden.it/ and of people who contact us to book a table, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is the data controller

What data we collect

  • Browsing data. In the course of their normal operation, the systems running this website acquire some data whose transmission is implicit in internet protocols: IP addresses, browser and device type, pages visited, time of the request.
  • Data you give us. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, or book a table, we process your name, your contact details and whatever you tell us (number of guests, time, any allergies or intolerances you let us know about).
  • Statistics and marketing data. Only if you accept non-essential cookies, as explained in the cookie policy.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

  • To answer your requests and manage your booking: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • To run the website securely: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • For statistics and marketing: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
  • If you tell us about allergies or intolerances, this is health data: we use it only to prepare your food safely, on the basis of your explicit consent, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, and we do not keep it after the service.

How long we keep it

Booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the related tax and accounting obligations. Browsing data for the technical time needed to keep the website secure. Statistics data for the periods stated in the cookie policy.

Who it may be shared with

With the suppliers who help us provide the service, appointed as data processors: the website hosting provider, the booking platform and the analytics services. We do not publish your data and we never sell it to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a machine-readable format or object to its processing. Write to gebgarden@gmail.com: we will reply within one month. If you believe the processing breaches the Regulation, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), garanteprivacy.it, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.
